2009 Quad Squad Events
Crowsnest meetings are held on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 7pm at the Hillcrest Fish & Game Hall. For a complete guide to the Crowsnest Pass including events, accommodations, dining and artisans, please visit CrowsnestGuide.com.
Calgary general meetings are typically held quarterly at 7pm upstairs in the West Hillhurst (the "Penalty Box" Hospitality Room). In early April is the Annual General Meeting (AGM) when a new CQS board is elected. Most CQS rides provide a Family (slower), Intermediate (faster) and Advanced (extreme) group leader to match your riding skills. Inter-club members are encouraged to attend. Random unofficial member organized rides are often posted in the locally based Rebels forum on ATVFrontier.com

Random camping no amenities. Social/BBQ to follow after Saturday ride sponsored by Ranchers Supply of Pincher Creek. Ranchers Supply will supply bbq hamburgers, please bring a dish for the potluck meal. Register with the Quad Office office so we have a head count for supper, email: office@quadsqaud.ca or 403-562-8686. Rides start at 9am both Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine. Ride on Saturday beginner to intermediate, pack a lunch. Approx 50-60 km. Ride on Sunday intermediate, pack a lunch. Approx 60-70 km. Directions: From Crowsnest Pass: Travel East to Cowley, turn left east end of Cowley Hwy marker 510East. 5.6Km to T intersection, turn right 510E, travel 15.5km to RR 29-3A (Welsch Road), Turn left travel on gravel 3.8km to T intersection, turn right, travel .5Km to Y intersection, take left branch of Y 10.9Km to T intersection, turn left 12.9Km to Beaver Creek Campground. Directions: From Fort McLeod: Travel West Hwy 3 to Highway 785North (Oldman Dam Intersection), travel 8.3Km, turn left Hwy 510W, travel 2.8Km, turn right on RR 29-3A (Welsch Road), travel on gravel 3.8Km to T intersection, turn right, travel .5Km to Y intersection, take left branch of Y 10.9Km to T intersction, turn left 12.9Km to Beaver Creek Campground. Family Day winter ride and Pot luck meal at the Ghost Airstrip Provincial Recreation Area (PRA). Bring a dish to share at the meal in the cookhouse after the ride if you wish to partake. OHVs must enter east trails system at WP#117 thru the north green gates. Most likely we will ride the south-eastern trails near Hwy 40 so persmission to cross the gravel pit does not have to be obtained from AB Transportation. |
